Shelf prices

Oopbuy costs: look, compare, then decide

This is a shelf, not a till — nothing is bought here. What follows is the cost structure of an Oopbuy order written out so you can compare it against other agents before committing anywhere: what the marketplace charges, what the hop to the warehouse costs, what freight adds once the box is weighed, Oopbuy's service fee, and duty at your border. Compare these five against any competitor and the differences are usually in the middle three.

Five lines, for comparing

Marketplace price, domestic hop, freight, service fee, duty. We quote none of them, because weight, route and destination decide — but the structure is identical everywhere, which is what makes comparison possible.

  • Marketplace pricethe same wherever you buy it — the one line that does not vary by agent
  • Domestic hopsmall, flat, and rarely where agents differ
  • Freightwhere agents genuinely diverge: lane coverage and consolidation rules
  • Dutyyour country's decision, identical whichever agent you use

Oopbuy's fees, storage terms and coverage change. Its pages decide.

Inspection: what the shelf shows you

Oopbuy photographs goods in the warehouse before dispatch, and those images are the last point at which walking away is cheap. Look for colour against the listing, visible faults, the size tag, seam work, and whether the variant is the one you compared.

✅ Images resolve
  • · Colour, checked against the listing you were comparing
  • · Visible faults — marks, pulls, scuffs, faulty fasteners
  • · The size tag, so you can check it against your own measurements
  • · Stitch and seam work at the usual failure points
  • · That the variant and colourway shipped are the ones chosen
  • · The count, whenever more than one unit was ordered
🚫 Images do not resolve
  • · Hand feel, drape and the weight of it in your palm
  • · Odour — the gap between a good photo and a good purchase
  • · Whether moving parts survive months of use
  • · Colour in daylight rather than warehouse light
  • · Fit, because a size letter is only a convention, never a measurement

What images resolve on the left; what only arrival resolves on the right.

  • Compare before you commit, not after. The shelf exists so you can look at several options at once.
  • Raise issues while goods are still held.Free inside the warehouse, expensive outside it.
  • Ask for another angle. An ambiguous photo is a fair reason to request one.
  • Save the images.Your record if the parcel does not match what you approved.

Freight, and why it is the comparison point

Route selection follows inspection. Oopbuy's lines differ on price, transit time and accepted cargo, and cost follows weight and volume rather than item count — so the agent with better consolidation rules usually wins, not the one with the headline rate.

Chargeable weight, always

Actual or volumetric, whichever is greater. Compression is free money.

Consolidation rules differ per agent

How long goods are held free is often more valuable than a rate discount.

Category rules are per line

Power banks, liquids, aerosols and branded goods each get their own answer.

Transit excludes customs

Border processing is outside quoted windows.

Insurance is worth comparing too

Coverage terms vary as much as rates do.

Tracking starts at scan

Not at submission — expect a day's gap.

Returns, refunds and Oopbuy's prohibited list

Oopbuy publishes after-sales terms and a prohibited list. Read the clause for your category before committing — restricted goods cannot be forwarded once held.
